Job summary
Avenue Technologies and Commodities Inc in Dallas is seeking a Tier III Operations Engineer to maintain the availability, performance, and reliability of mission-critical systems. You will provide advanced troubleshooting and incident resolution, coordinating with Operations, Engineering, and vendors to ensure service continuity.
The role requires a active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance, U.S. citizenship, and willingness to work extended hours on-call.
Qualifications
- Security+ or CISSP certification required.
- Strong Linux knowledge and administration skills.
- Excellent communication for complex topics.
- Experience troubleshooting APIs and security appliances.
- Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and diagnostics quickly.
- Capable of working independently under pressure during incidents.
- Willingness to work extended hours and on-call.
Responsibilities
- Lead diagnosis and resolution of complex incidents beyond Tier I/II.
- Troubleshoot across servers, OS, networking, databases, storage, and apps.
- Participate in incident response during outages and coordinate recovery.
- Monitor system health, performance, and capacity; identify issues early.
- Develop and maintain operating docs, guides, and SOPs.
- Support maintenance, upgrades, patching, and change management.
- Collaborate with engineering to improve resiliency and automation.
- Identify recurring issues and propose long-term improvements.
