Job summary

Soliel, LLC, an accomplished IT engineering firm, seeks a Systems Engineer to support the DISA mission at Fort Meade, MD. The role centers on Linux administration for on-premises, secure enterprise systems and services.

Responsibilities include configuring RHEL, patching, automation with Ansible, and maintaining DoD STIG-compliant configurations while supporting RMF/ATO activities and PKI integration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Linux systems administration or systems engineering.
• Experience with Linux servers, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with DoD STIG-compliant configurations and vulnerability remediation.
• Knowledge of PKI/digital certificates and secure auth methods.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, configure, and troubleshoot RHEL systems in secure, on-premises environments.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and manage system lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot performance, reliability, and integration issues across OS and infrastructure.
• Configure Linux services, storage, logging, and access controls.
• Implement STIG-based configurations and support vulnerability remediation.
• Support RMF/ATO activities with configuration info and evidence.
• Develop automation for config, deployment, and admin tasks using Ansible and shell scripts.
• Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and PKI teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
