Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Senior Linux Systems Administrator to lead the administration of enterprise Linux environments, including servers, virtualization, and cloud platforms. You will ensure reliability, security, and scalable operations across the stack.

You will collaborate with IT teams to implement automation, perform patching, and document configurations. US citizenship is a requirement for this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8–10+ years of hands-on Linux systems administration across enterprise environments.
  • Deep proficiency with Linux OS (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
  • Expertise with Bash, Python, or Perl scripting.
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, firewalls).
  • US Citizenship required.

  • Drive innovation to scale infrastructure capabilities while enhancing operability.

Requirements

  • Deep proficiency in Linux operating systems such as Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu.
  • Expertise in command‑line interfaces and scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Perl).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM, or Hyper‑V and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
