Job summary

LufCo is seeking a Lead System Administrator in Aberdeen, MD to manage Linux and Windows server environments in a DoD-related setting. The role supervises 2–3 cyber security and system administrators, ensures security hardening, and coordinates with networks and software teams.

Strong automation with Ansible and scripting is essential, as is experience with virtualization and RMF processes. The position is full-time, onsite five days a week, with active TS/SCI clearance and a focus on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Total 6+ years, with 3+ years Linux and 3+ years Windows.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2-3 sys admins in customer support.
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux (RHEL/Rocky) and Windows servers.
• Automate provisioning with Ansible, Kickstart, PXE, Cobbler.
• Manage security hardening, SELinux, firewalls, SSH, and access controls.
• Monitor health, performance, and incident response; document baselines.
