Job summary

SAIC seeks a Systems Administrator to support Space Systems Command in Albuquerque, NM. The role involves design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual information systems and web apps with emphasis on system and network security.

You will interface with active duty and government personnel to provide top-notch support, perform patching, auditing, disaster recovery, and on-call rotation, and work across cross-functional teams on deployments and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years in lieu of degree.
• Active Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility (SCI indoctrination within 3 months).
• Minimum 4 years of IT support, system administration, or related work.
• Proven Linux sys administration experience (Red Hat preferred).
• Bash and another scripting language (e.g., Python).
• DoD 8140.03 Foundational and Residential Qualifications compliance (Security+ to start).
• Familiar with the RMF process.

Responsibilities

• Provide cross-team deployment and admin support for system integration.
• Create and extend system configuration and automation tools.
• Participate in security processes: patching, auditing, remediation, DR operations.
• Identify and adapt technologies to support customer goals.
• Rotate on-call and support day-to-day process optimization.
• Project analysis, requirements gathering, testing, deployment.
• Maintain project and system documentation.
• Run monthly system reports and provide metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including configuration management and supply chain.
