Job summary

Captivation Software is seeking a senior systems administrator to support a large-scale Linux cluster, including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software and active day-to-day operations. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize compute, memory, and storage components while maintaining system security.

A Top Secret/SCI clearance and US citizenship are required, with a technical bachelor’s degree. Experience with Red Hat Satellite, VMware ESXi, and automation tools is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years’ experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required
• Five (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• A Security+ Certification is required

Responsibilities

• Provide support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for compute, network, memory, and storage system components
• Maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
