Job summary

Kforce is seeking a Senior HPC Linux Systems Administrator in Miami, FL to support HPC infrastructure, AI computing environments, and scientific research platforms.

You will administer Linux HPC clusters, manage schedulers and storage, automate provisioning, and ensure security and disaster recovery while mentoring junior staff. This is a full-time role in a dynamic, research-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of Systems Administration experience.
• 3+ years of HPC environments experience.
• Strong Linux administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Linux-based HPC clusters and AI computing environments
• Manage HPC schedulers, compute nodes, login nodes, and parallel file systems
• Support AI research infrastructure, GPU environments, and associated tools
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, software deployment, and routine operational tasks
• Install, patch, monitor, and optimize Linux systems, applications, and cloud environments
• Manage storage platforms, including Lustre and other enterprise storage solutions
• Ensure successful backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Troubleshoot complex issues involving servers, storage, networking, virtualization, databases, and applications
• Maintain security hardening standards and system compliance requirements
• Support VMware, VDI, cloud environments, and Windows Server technologies
• Design scalable and highly available architectures focused on performance and reliability
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical support to end users
