Job summary

anw.net GmbH is seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to join our infrastructure team. You will design, deploy, and maintain Linux server environments with a focus on cloud infrastructure and automation.

You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and ensure 24/7 availability with on-call rotations. The role offers 80% remote work and requires on-site presence in St. Ingbert about one day per week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional Linux administration experience.
• Extensive AWS experience and cloud-native architectures.
• Proficient in automation and IaC practices.
• Strong networking and security knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Administer Debian-based Linux servers across on-prem and cloud.
• Automate provisioning and deployment with Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, or Chef.
• Maintain patching and security hardening.
• Plan capacity, performance tuning, and high availability.
• Manage networking services (DNS, firewalls, VPN).
• Develop monitoring with Zabbix and alerting.
• Write scripts in Bash/Python.
• Create runbooks and DR plans.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and container workloads.
• Mentor junior admins and participate in on-call rotations.
