Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Linux and Ansible Automation Engineer to design, deploy, and grow automated solutions for an enterprise modernization project in Reston, Virginia. You will build automation frameworks, enforce best practices, and lay the foundation for scalable infrastructure in a mission-critical environment.

You will lead automation efforts, mentor teammates, and work with stakeholders to turn pain points into repeatable methods while aligning with DoD security and compliance

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience administering Linux-based environments (RHEL).
• Experience managing configuration at scale with Ansible, including enforcing consistent system state across large inventories and writing idempotent playbooks.
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform, Salt, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience with Bash, Python, or PowerShell scripting.
• Experience managing systems within U.S. federal government or DoD enterprise IT environments, including security compliance and vulnerability management frameworks such as STIG, RMF, or NIST.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• Associate's/Bachelor's/Master's degree with IT experience or DoD certifications as listed above.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 CSSP-IS Certification within 30 days of start date.
