Job summary

System Soft Technologies is seeking a Senior Linux Administrator to support critical client environments in Alabama. The role requires deep Linux expertise, with emphasis on Ubuntu Server LTS, Azure-based Linux VMs, and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Linux administration in enterprise or government environments.
• Deep expertise in Ubuntu Server LTS releases.
• Working knowledge of Azure for Linux VMs, networking, managed identity, and Key Vault integration.
• Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines, repositories, and CI/CD workflows for Linux systems.
• Experience with Docker on Linux and container secrets management outside managed clusters.
• Advanced Bash scripting and PowerShell for cross-platform automation.
• Understanding of UFW, SSH hardening, AppArmor, and SSL/TLS certificate management.
• Proficiency with systemd, kernel tuning via /etc/sysctl.conf, PAM, auditd, and log rotation.
• Preferred: Canonical/Ubuntu certifications, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+. AZ-900/AZ-104 preferred.
• Healthcare or public sector experience incl. state agency IT, MARS-E, HIPAA safeguards, or CMS security requirements.
• Experience supporting development infrastructure with fast-changing workload requirements.
