Ditsch USA in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Senior Line Lead for the food production facility. The role focuses on troubleshooting, process optimization, and line leadership during the second shift, with opportunities for cross-training and plant-wide improvements.

Key duties include developing SOPs, training operators, coordinating trials, and driving productivity while ensuring product quality across lines. Strong technical acumen and collaborative leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common industry, production, and technical documents in English. Ability to read, understand and speak Spanish a plus
• Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply basic and some advanced mathematical concepts (Algebra, statistics)
• Detail Oriented—Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy
• Reasoning Ability—Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot the most complicated equipment and process issues and help resolve those issues both on a short term and long-term basis
• Interpersonal training and teaching of all operators and supervisors on process deviations and process adjustments to improve product quality
• Specific focus for line three knowledge transfer to the operations team
• Will work as a back-up shift leader in their absence
• Access breakdowns/downtime and work with maintenance and operations to build preventive controls and improve equipment reliability
• Creating a SOP/WI system used to define best practices and consistency with product quality and operating parameters
• Responsible for building recipes and optimizing productivity, efficiencies and total throughput on both lines and each individual product group
• Liaison between operations and maintenance to create trial, test, and design new products from conception to full production including process, machine, and labor capabilities.

Pay Range: $24.50-$28.50 per hour
Shift & Time: Second Shift, 2:00pm-10:00pm Weekends as needed

Job Summary : Troubleshoot and improve processes in production for optimal systems

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Troubleshoot the most complicated equipment and process issues and help resolve those issues both on a short term and long-term basis
• Interpersonal training and teaching of all operators and supervisors on process deviations and process adjustments to improve product quality. A source to develop new or under preforming operators
• Specific focus for line three knowledge transfer to the operations team
• Will work as a back-up shift leader in their absence
• Access breakdowns/downtime and work with maintenance and operations to build preventive controls and improve equipment reliability
• Creating a SOP/WI system used to define best practices and consistency with product quality and operating parameters. The SOP product books are a constant work in progress and are continually improving to define better process parameters and implementing and communicating improvements
• Responsible for building recipes and optimizing productivity, efficiencies and total throughput on both lines and each individual product group
• Primary technical resource on projects that range from small projects to major expansions. Is the reality check that takes plans from conceptual to functionable
• Interpersonal training and teaching of operators and supervisors on process deviations and process adjustments to improve product quality
• Complete daily walk through and inspections of the plant and communicate continuous opportunities, issues, and corrections to the leadership team immediately
• Define process changes pertaining to environmental conditions such as seasons, temperatures, and most importantly humidity
• Coordinate and run product trials in a way that limits production interference and interruptions.
• Responsible for building recipes and optimizing productivity, efficiencies and total throughput on both lines and each individual product group
• Liaison between operations and maintenance to create trial, test, and design new products from conception to full production including process, machine, and labor capabilities. Instrumental in resourcing, testing, and finalizing the new product specifications. Will also create SOPs and WI to transfer knowledge and train staff when new products are installed
• Assist with feasibility, validation, and confirmation of process to product specification
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift, up to and including 50 lbs.
• Ability to withstand various climates through the facility, i.e., freezer, dock, production. (as low as -15 degrees up to 110 degrees)
