Job summary

White Lodging is hiring a line cook in Charlotte, NC to lead daily kitchen operations and mentor junior cooks in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

You will execute BOH procedures, maintain safety and sanitation, and contribute to controlling food and labor costs while upholding high standards of quality and teamwork across multiple hotel properties in your market.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Proficiency in sautéing, broiling, frying, roasting, butchery and garde manger.
• Culinary degree or apprenticeship preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Mentor entry-level cooks and apprentices; oversee daily prep and production.
• Execute BOH operations following F&B procedures, health codes, and federal guidelines.
• Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation at all times.
• Help maintain food cost and labor cost targets.
• Check ingredient freshness; uphold recipe standards and portion records.
• Positively influence guest feedback through consistent food quality.
• Foster a respectful, cooperative team culture.
