Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking a Senior LIMS & Data Integration Engineer for a 6-month hybrid assignment in Irvine, CA. You will support data standardization, migration initiatives, and regulated lab environments, partnering with R&D and IT to translate needs into scalable technical solutions.

The role focuses on LIMS systems, PostgreSQL/SQL, Python scripting, and data governance, with responsibilities spanning data quality, metadata, master data, and traceability in GxP contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant technical experience, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, selecting, or implementing applications.
• Experience designing application architecture, technical specifications, database schemas, and system integrations.
• Strong PostgreSQL and SQL skills, including query development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering, automation, and data-quality activities.
• Experience working in Unix or Linux environments.
• Experience working with laboratory, clinical, scientific, manufacturing, or other regulated data.
• Familiarity with LIMS platforms, such as LabWare, LabKey, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of data governance, master data management, metadata management, and data lineage.
• Experience with data-quality frameworks, automated testing, and data reconciliation controls.
• Familiarity with regulated environments such as GxP, GLP, GMP, or CDC-regulated research.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.

About the Role

Client is seeking an experienced data professional to support data standardization and migration initiatives across Research and Development. In this role, you’ll partner with R&D business teams and IT stakeholders to understand scientific and operational needs, translate them into practical technical solutions, and help implement those solutions in regulated research environments.
