Job summary

Regeneron is seeking a Senior Developer to design, develop, and deliver informatics solutions for the research and preclinical pipeline. You will lead architecture decisions, mentor teammates, and deliver high-quality solutions on Sapio, Benchling, and Dotmatics.

Based at Regeneron’s Tarrytown, NY location, this role requires four days onsite per week with a focus on server-side plugins, AI-enabled workflows, data integrations, and cloud/container modernization while ensuring GxP compliance

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, or related field.
2+ years of software development experience in life sciences R&D or lab informatics.
Proficiency in Java (server-side development, plugin architectures).
Proficiency in Python (scripting, data pipelines, webhooks, automation).
Experience with at least one LIMS/ELN platform: Sapio, Benchling, or Dotmatics; Sapio preferred.

Responsibilities

Design and develop server-side plugins, integrations, and workflows on LIMS/ELN platforms (Sapio preferred) using Java and Python.
Architect and build AI/GenAI-enabled solutions (LLM agents, RAG pipelines, prompt-engineered workflows).
Develop data pipelines and integrations between scientific instruments, LIMS/ELN systems, and enterprise data platforms; own data modeling and data quality validation.
