The Glasshouse in New York City seeks a Director of Lighting to lead all production lighting for Studio Productions, the exclusive in-house production vendor. You will oversee lighting, electrical equipment, and power distribution, directing LX crews and coordinating with other technical teams.

This role drives revenue and cost savings through strategic equipment planning, budgeting, and client collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading a lighting department in venues.
• Strong budget, planning, and client-facing skills.
• Expertise in rigging, lift operation, and safety.

Responsabilités

• Oversee all production lighting, electrical equipment, and electrical systems; manage LX crews and coordinate with Inventory Manager.
• Partner with Venue Sales, Production Management, Audio, Video, Staging, Rigging, and Front of House to execute events; review proposals and client drawings.
• Review event schedules, Run of Show, load-in and strike plans; optimize equipment use and pricing across events.
• Oversee lighting and production electrical inventory; schedule maintenance and replacements; maintain show drawings and rigging specs.
• Enforce safety protocols; ensure staff follow emergency procedures; elevate concerns as needed.
