Job summary

Southeast Health is seeking a skilled Life Safety Systems technician to perform maintenance, installation, and repair of critical equipment within our hospital and outlying clinics. You’ll ensure compliance with safety codes, complete PMs, and support on-call tasks to keep patient care uninterrupted.

The role requires strong electronics background, experience with life safety systems, networked equipment, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent.
Background in an electronics related field.
Training in Electronic Systems Equipment Technology and/or military training or equivalent.
5 years’ experience in maintaining Life Safety Systems (Preferred)
4 years’ experience in maintaining networked systems (Preferred).
Must demonstrate high proficiency in four categories associated with Life Safety Systems.
Knowledge of state and local safety codes.
Work weekends, nights or days with occasional call outs.
Valid drivers’ license.
Exceptional customer service skills (required).

Responsibilities

Perform testing, maintenance and adjustments and calibrations to equipment in a timely manner.
Updates Bi-Weekly Access Control rights for new hire orientation.
Manage Video Surveillance systems to include install, troubleshooting as location assessment.
Manages multiple computer and network based systems as it relates to the Life Safety Department.
Utilizes effective project management skills for various projects
Configures, installs, and maintains network devices on various systems.
Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records on assigned equipment for which the Life Safety department is responsible.
Troubleshoot, calibrate and/or repair life safety systems to include access controls, video surveillance systems etc.
Coordinate to ensure adequate inventory of parts for routine maintenance and emergency repairs of Life safety equipment.
Complete work requests generated manually and/or by computer in a timely manner to assure patient satisfaction.
Trains and mentors other staff members regarding operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned systems.
Prepares budgetary proposals related to operation and maintenance of assigned equipment.
