Job summary

StoryPoint in Ankeny, IA seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant to plan and perform enrichment activities for residents, contributing to their social welfare and interests. The role supports the Life Enrichment Director and may include transportation duties.

The position requires 1–3 years of related experience, a flexible schedule (including evenings/holidays), and a compassionate approach to seniors. Wages are $16–$19 per hour with daily pay options and PTO benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Willing to obtain a Chauffeur's license upon hire
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.
• Compassionate towards the senior population.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a team.

Responsibilities

• Actively support our 1440 culture and pillars.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Director with the overall direction, planning, communication, and execution of activities and life skills in the Life Enrichment department.
• Supports the Life Enrichment Director and Life Enrichment Lead with administrative tasks as needed.
• Complete all tasks and functions while maintaining a high level of resident safety.
• Support in proper setup, clean up, and upkeep of activity areas and community spaces.
• Support transportation by attending outings, coordinating relevant administrative tasks, and upholding safety practices.
• Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook.
