Linuxconfig is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Pleasanton, CA. The role focuses on collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop specifications for lidar technologies. Candidates should have significant experience in optoelectronic systems engineering, along with a strong foundation in physics and hands-on testing.

The position offers a base salary range of $140K to $180K annually for qualified candidates. You will participate in prototype validation and manufacturing transition processes, ensuring product performance meets specifications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in optoelectronic or sensor systems engineering, preferably in lidar.
• Proficiency in physics of lasers, optics, and signal processing.
• Experience evaluating and characterizing optical or electro-optical subsystems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to drive specifications of lidar technologies.
• Evaluate and characterize lidar and its subsystems.
• Support the transition of prototypes into production.
