Job summary

A leading energy firm in Bethesda, MD is looking for a Senior Licensing Engineer - Safety to join their regulatory team. This role will support regulatory strategy and manage key projects for licensing nuclear power plant designs. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the nuclear industry and a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. You will collaborate with various teams, ensure compliance with NRC regulations, and advocate for efficient nuclear deployment initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in regulatory affairs or licensing within the nuclear industry.
• Deep knowledge of NRC regulations and licensing processes.
• Experience with 10 CFR Part 50 and construction permit applications.

Responsibilities

• Support VP of Regulatory Affairs in executing licensing strategy.
• Perform licensing work collaboratively with staff and contractors.
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings, including Construction Permit Application.
