Job summary

Qualifications

• General Experience: 1 year clerical work with spelling and arithmetic; ability to read/follow instructions.
• Specialized Experience: 2 years library support (circulation, materials handling) with relevant terminology.
• One year of experience comparable to Library Assistant II level.
• At least 1 year of Specialized Experience comparable to Library Assistant IV level.
• Supervisory aptitude may be required for certain positions.
• Substitutions described in the Minimum Qualification Requirements apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs highly complex library support work and supervises library tasks as assigned.
• Participates in complex library support work and in paraprofessional activities.
• Handles duties requiring knowledge of library sciences and standard tools.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
