Job summary

The Boeing Company, Boeing Global Services (BGS) Post-Production Modifications Support, seeks a Mid-Level or Senior Liaison Engineer in Long Beach, CA to support modification projects across Interiors, Connectivity/VIP, Avionics, AP&S and BCF for MD heritage to 777X. The role applies advanced engineering principles and conducts root-cause analysis to develop interim and final solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of related work experience.
• MRB certification within the last 2 years.
• 5+ years of experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment (preferred).
• Experience with Model Based Definition, CATIA, ENOVIA and PDM.
• Ability to lead, work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience providing product definitions and technical support to suppliers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site liaison for ongoing modifications across product lines.
• Write, coordinate, and disposition IDRs for airframe modifications.
• Review and respond to service requests from airline customers.
• Apply engineering principles to resolve product and process issues through the lifecycle.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design nonconformances.
• Collaborate with IPTs and other engineering teams throughout post-production.
