Job summary

Huntington is seeking a Director – Leveraged Finance Portfolio Manager in a senior portfolio management role. You will oversee a portfolio of commercial loans across leveraged finance, corporate, specialty and government banking, underwriting quality and monitoring while collaborating with internal partners to optimize customer relationships.

A Director-level colleague acts as a subject matter expert in their industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 8+ years in underwriting or commercial banking.
• Strong credit analysis and risk assessment skills are essential.
• Experience with leveraged and syndicated finance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex commercial loans per Huntington credit policies.
• Monitor and manage a portfolio of commercial loans; identify emerging risks.
• Handle portfolio administration including delinquencies, collateral, and covenants.
• Attend client calls with Relationship Management and other bank partners.
• Stay updated on market trends; conduct industry research.
• Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on credit practices.
• Review and negotiate credit documentation with legal counsel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
