Job summary

The Senior Legal Counsel at Everseen will act as a strategic partner to the General Counsel, guiding commercial contracts, data privacy, IP and governance as the company scales globally.

You will support a cross-border team, draft and negotiate complex SaaS and technology agreements, and provide practical legal advice to Sales, Finance and Operations to drive growth while managing risk.

Qualifications

• US qualified lawyer with 4–7 years post-qualification experience in related areas.
• Deep knowledge of commercial contracts, especially technology/SaaS.
• High standard of ethics and integrity.
• Demonstrated drive, eagerness to learn, and teamwork ability.
• Solid understanding of commercial law and its business implications.
• Strong judgment, organization and communication skills.

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel (US Qualified) to serve as a key strategic partner to our General Counsel and business leadership and join a tight knit, collaborative, globally facing team. In this role, you will not simply review contracts—you will help steer our commercial engine, scale our corporate and operational foundations, and protect the company’s interests as we expand worldwide.

The role will focus on day to day legal operations which fall into two distinct buckets:

1. Deal oversight and support (customer commercial transactions); and
2. Conventional legal aspects, such as Intellectual Property, data privacy, ESOP, corporate governance etc.

What you’ll do

As the Senior Legal Counsel, you will support the General Counsel and the rest of the Legal & Compliance team in overseeing the legal & compliance aspects of the company’s business and advancing company objectives while mitigating risk.

You will help safeguard the company’s reputation by ensuring adherence to laws, rules & policies, and will provide effective & practical legal advice across the organization.

Your duties will include:

• Assisting US-based General Counsel in planning and development in support of evolving the legal function
• Working with the legal team in Ireland and supporting a follow-the-sun working methodology
• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a wide range of commercial contracts with customers, partners and service providers and providing support to more junior members of the legal team
• Providing accurate and timely counsel to company employees on a variety of legal topics (including commercial contracts, privacy and data protection, policies and procedures, corporate governance, intellectual property, employment law, etc.)
• Applying effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on legal aspects of a commercial transaction
• Communicating, negotiating, and resolving issues with colleagues and external parties, establishing relations of trust
• Dealing with complex matters with multiple stakeholders
• Maintaining the highest standards of personal and professional integrity and responsibility
• Keeping current on updates and changes in applicable rules and legislation, and developing expertise in new areas of practice
• Working closely with the General Counsel and rest of the Legal & Compliance Department to ensure consistent and reliable support to the organization

Collaborating With

You will collaborate closely with the Legal and Compliance department along with key stakeholders and leaders in the organization, including Sales and Finance.

Profile and Skills

• You are a US qualified lawyer with at least 4 to 7 years post-qualification experience in related areas of the law, with a deep knowledge of commercial contracts (technology / SaaS)
• You have the highest standard of professional ethics and integrity
• Demonstrated drive, enthusiasm to learn and the ability to work well in a dynamic team environment
• You have a solid understanding of commercial law, and the commercial consequences of legal issues
• You demonstrate sound judgement and have the ability to analyze situations and information
• You possess outstanding organization and communication skills
• You enjoy working closely with your team and the camaraderie that can bring
• You enjoy working collaboratively towards and achieving team/corporate goals
