Job summary

United States Attorneys' Offices seeks a senior legal assistant to support Assistant United States Attorneys in complex financial litigation. You will independently analyze financial assets, review documents, and prepare indictments, complaints, orders, and subpoenas as needed.

You will conduct legal and financial research using multiple databases, manage paper and electronic evidence, and track case status to ensure proper retention and retrieval.

Qualifications

• Proven experience reviewing documents with legal implications for accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to type and format correspondence and forms.
• Strong file management and information retrieval skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide substantive assistance to AUSAs in complex financial litigation matters.
• Review incoming material and determine the need for legal documents such as motions, orders, pleadings, and subpoenas.
• Prepare legal actions including indictments, complaints, warrants, judgments, and notices.
• Conduct research using legal and non-legal databases and websites.
• Analyze financial information on debtors to determine ability to pay.
• Manage discovery and evidence in paper and electronic form, and present exhibits in court.
