Job summary

Danaher Corporation seeks a Senior Legal Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions across legal and compliance workflows. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, data science, and legal operations, applying LLMs and agentic AI to solve enterprise-scale problems.

You will partner with attorneys and compliance professionals, translate workflows into technical requirements, lead production-grade AI features, and mentor legal team members in no-code AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data science, or ML engineering with production output.
• Production experience with LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG, agent/tool-use, and evaluation frameworks.
• Strong programming in Python; experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face; other languages a plus.
• Experience with AI infrastructure: vector databases, cloud platforms, API design, containerized deployment.

Responsibilities

• Translate legal workflows into technical AI solutions with stakeholders across legal/compliance.
• Architect and build AI-powered legal applications.
• Design end-to-end solutions for contract review, legal research, regulatory analysis, and compliance workflows using LLMs and agentic AI.
• Develop and optimize document processing pipelines and scalable ingestion/embedding/indexing for legal content.
• Ship production-grade AI features and implement governance, security, and evaluation frameworks.
