Job summary

ZEISS Group seeks a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer in Maple Grove, MN to lead strategic Lean initiatives, partnering with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering to drive measurable improvements. You will deploy Lean tools, coach teams, and support Hoshin Kanri alignment with key business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, or related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operational Excellence roles.
• Proven expertise in Lean principles, process improvement, and structured problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (6S, VSM, DMAIC, PDCA) to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.
• Identify, develop, and implement process improvements through mapping, standard work, waste reduction, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Facilitate Kaizen events, workshops, and training to strengthen continuous improvement capabilities.
• Partner with Global Lean Team to deploy standardized Lean tools, share best practices, and coach teams on operational excellence.
