The ideal candidate has a four-year degree in a related discipline and at least seven years of public safety or utility experience. Travel is frequent, and on-call duties may apply as part of operations.

• Seven years of public safety or related utility experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage public damage prevention efforts for all stakeholders including the general public, local officials, first responders, contractors, excavators, and school children to reduce accidents.
• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and other regulatory agency regulations and requirements; train, investigate, and audit as necessary to ensure compliance.
• Develop, implement, and oversee the Company’s Leak Management Program.
• Oversee leak survey contracts and maintain the Damage Prevention Plan.
• Ensure damages are properly investigated and documented; analyze data for root cause.
• Manage One Call programs for contract locators and company employees.
• Perform other tasks and special projects as assigned.
