Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking an Executive Director to lead the Market Risk Management XVA coverage in the US. The role combines senior risk governance with hands-on oversight of CVA, FVA and related valuation adjustments, while directing a team across NY and Budapest.

You will partner with Front Office and control functions to set risk direction, approve large trades, and shape the XVA framework, ensuring disciplined risk management and alignment with firm-wide strategy.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in market risk, counterparty risk, or trading risk within a global investment bank.
• Demonstrated depth of expertise in XVA-related risks with seasoned judgement.
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level oversight of XVA market risk exposures and governance within the Firm's risk appetite.
• Lead the US XVA Coverage team within MRD, setting strategy and coverage standards.
• Own and evolve the XVA market risk framework, including stress testing and risk metrics.
• Develop and mentor risk managers across NY and Budapest.
