The University of California, Irvine Libraries seeks a creative, knowledgeable, and user-oriented Head of Academic and Clinical Research Support to join our collaborative team.

Based in Irvine with occasional travel to the Grunigen Medical Library in Orange, this full-time librarian position reports to the Associate University Librarian for Public Services and participates in the Public Services Leadership team.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in planning, development, delivery and assessment of library research support services at Irvine and Orange library locations.
• Supervise a department of five librarians and nine staff.
• Collaborate with UC Irvine Libraries leadership on programmatic areas and strategic initiatives.
• Advise the Associate University Librarian for Public Services.
• Occasional travel to the Grunigen Medical Library in Orange.
