Qualifications

ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade I certification.
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily field inspection activities for transportation construction projects.
Supervise Construction Inspectors and coordinate inspection coverage.
Ensure compliance with VDOT plans and specifications.
Review Daily Work Reports prepared by field inspectors.
Monitor contractor operations including earthwork and traffic control devices.
Verify materials incorporated into the project.
Coordinate materials testing activities.
Identify construction issues and resolve them with project staff.
Monitor traffic operations per VDOT Work Area Protection Manual.
Ensure jobsite safety and environmental compliance.
