Job description

Wood is looking for an experienced Senior or Lead Subsea Systems Engineer to join our team in Norway. We have subsea hub offices in Stavanger and Oslo. You’ll become part of a team of close to 60 engineers in Norway and work closely with colleagues across the region. Your role

In this role, you’ll contribute to the delivery of subsea systems and field development solutions for a range of clients and projects. Wood is currently supporting some of the most technically challenging subsea developments on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, including tiebacks, HPHT projects, deepwater developments and complex brownfield integration.

  • Defining subsea system architecture across battery limits, from wellhead through to export point.
  • Developing and maturing subsea field architecture concepts.
  • Developing subsea area layouts for infield locations and host facilities.
  • Performing systems design activities in close collaboration with the SPS, Subsea Structures, Risers and Flowline disciplines.

Qualifications

Is this you? You’re an experienced and proactive subsea systems engineer who enjoys taking ownership, solving technical challenges and working closely with clients and colleagues to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. You have a strong interest in subsea facilities and SURF, together with a broad understanding of the industry. Successful candidates often come from subsea project engineering roles with marine contractors, facilities engineering, or SURF lead positions, and are used to coordinating complex multidisciplinary technical deliveries. You have a relevant engineering degree, solid experience within subsea systems, facilities and SURF engineering, and a good understanding of Norwegian standards and regulations. Experience in field architecture, systems engineering and SURF delivery will be highly valued. Previous experience on the Norwegian Continental Shelf is strongly preferred.
