Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer to define NFRs and availability targets for services in IPFS. You will ensure SLOs are measured, and that production systems are reliable and scalable.

This role blends traditional SRE practices with AI/ML to build autonomous infrastructure across enterprise-scale environments. You will lead architecture, observability, and incident analysis while mentoring engineers and driving best practices in cloud-native platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of applied experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering.
• Advanced knowledge in SRE culture and principles and implementing SRE in an application or platform.
• Observability expertise with monitoring, SLOs, alerting, and telemetry collection.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java, Go, Python, and Terraform for enterprise-grade apps and automation.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native tech.
• Hands-on with building AI Agents, MCP Servers, and AI frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI.
• Experience designing logging pipelines (Fluentd, Logstash, Vector) and metrics/trace systems.
• Strong experience building production-grade RESTful APIs and event-driven messaging (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
• Experience with graph (Neo4j, TigerGraph) and vector (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma) databases.

Responsibilities

• Creates designs, roadmaps, and charters for AI-powered automation and reliable platforms.
• Mentors engineers, advising on SRE and AI/ML intersections.
• Champions SRE principles and drives adoption across the team.
• Collaborates on observability designs for robust, low-toil systems with comprehensive logging and tracing.
• Designs AI Agents and MCP Servers for autonomous ops, integrating multiple data stores.
• Develops automation scripts and IaC using Java, Go, Python, Terraform; maintains RESTful services and message queues.
• Contributes to JPMorgan Chase's SRE community through internal forums and guilds.
