Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer and Solutions Engineer within the Card Technology team in New York. You will help architect and evolve platforms using modern cloud-based technologies, guiding global solution adoption and ensuring performance, security, reliability, and compliance.

You will collaborate with executives, product owners, and engineers to drive platform modernization, owning architectural decisions and enabling scalable microservices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Experience with Cloud Technologies, particularly Public Cloud and AWS.
• Experience crafting well-architected designs and application development with cloud capabilities.
• Advanced knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture disciplines.
• Experience applying expertise to complex architecture problems in cloud, AI/ML, or related areas.
• Experience in design patterns in Java, Python, Terraform and proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience building secure solution designs including cloud experience.

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer and Solutions Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking's Card Technology Team, youprovide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.

As a Solutions Engineer for Card Technology, you will collaborate with different teams to understand their needs, architect solutions, and provide guidance throughout the implementation process and ensure that solutions are optimized for performance, security, reliability, availability, observability, and compliance. Your role will involve close collaboration with executives, product owners, and engineers, driving the development and ownership of technological architecture while leading solutions for platform advancement and modernization initiatives. Beyond having strong technical expertise, your capacity to foster collaboration and influence across diverse teams is crucial.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Experience with Cloud Technologies in particular Public Cloud and AWS.
• Experience in crafting well-architected designs, application development, testing, resiliency and operational stability to utilize the capabilities of cloud computing for applications
• Advanced knowledge in one or more software, applications, and architecture
• Advanced knowledge of software architecture, application development, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
• Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines.
• Experience in advanced design patterns in Java ,Python, Terraform and proficiency in SQL . NoSQL cloud databases.
• Experience of building secure solution designs including cloud experience
• Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
• Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
• Drive domain modeling, designing, and handling of complex and scalable architectures, building container eco-systems for micro services

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Expertise in modernization in cloud platform from large, complex heritage ecosystem of mainframe and monoliths.
• Experience in modeling languages like UML or C4 model and knowledge of EAframeworks like TOGAF is preferable
• Experience with Micro-Services and Event-Driven architectures
