Job summary

Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with Java, Spring Boot and Microservices to advance ourConsumer & Community Banking software stack. You will design, develop, and mentor within a fast-moving, cross-functional team focused on scalable fintech solutions.

You will work on end-to-end architecture, including monolith-to-microservices migrations, with a culture of Agile practices and high availability. Strong collaboration and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of full stack Java development in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Hands-on with core Java, Spring and REST services.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker & Service Mesh.
• Experience with SQL & NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, mentor, and lead as a technical SME.
• Collaborate on a cross-functional team to execute the product roadmap.
• Communicate progress clearly to stakeholders and teams.

You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development‑such as Agile frameworks‑is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world. Should have bachelor’s degree in Engineering or masters in computer science relevant experience in Java.

• Excellent knowledge and experience in System Design, Domain Driven Design and Microservices
• Experience leading in monolith to microservices journey of a 1000+ TPS, 24/7 platform
• Experience with Architectural patterns for Scalability, High Availability, Performance & Disaster Recovery
• 5+ years of past experience in full stack Java development within team (Agile/Scrum) environments and large implementations
• Mandatory hands‑on experience on core Java, Spring and REST services
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker & Service mesh
• Experience with both SQL & NoSQL Databases
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Version Control tools (BitBucket, Git), managing and tracking work using management tools like JIRA, and following and promoting Agile practices like TDD/BDD
• Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
• Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across all systems
• Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
