Job summary

Lunar Outpost is seeking a Senior Staff Mechanical Analysis Engineer to lead the mechanical analysis team in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary space robotics environment. You will own analytical modeling of vehicles and mobility platforms, oversee analysis work, and ensure compliance with NASA standards.

You will collaborate with design, PM, and leadership, driving rapid development while delivering high-quality results on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
• 10+ years of spaceflight mechanical analysis experience.
• Experience leading analysis teams.
• Expertise in finite element modeling software.
• Ability to interpret loading profiles and test data.
• Familiarity with NASA/government specs and standards.
• Knowledge of fatigue and fracture analysis methods.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• U.S. Person required.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality analytical models of vehicles and mobility platforms.
• Perform mechanical analysis (loads, stress, fatigue, dynamics, vibration).
• Lead and develop the mechanical analysis team.
• Coordinate with design, PM, and leadership to meet schedules and deadlines.
• Standardize practices and produce technical reports.
