Job summary

Top Echelon Software LLC seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to establish and grow its Denver office, building a local practice that designs electrical, mechanical, process, and control systems for semiconductor fabs, life sciences plants, labs, and industrial facilities.

You will lead the office from the ground up, recruit and mentor engineers, coordinate with other offices, and supervise projects from basis of design through startup, ensuring quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (Electrical), with Colorado registration or the ability to obtain it.
• Experience leading electrical design for industrial, semiconductor, life sciences, or other process-driven facilities.
• Desire to learn and grow into the new role.

Responsibilities

• Be the firm's local point of contact for clients in the region.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers and designers as the office grows.

• Design power distribution for industrial and critical facilities, including low- and medium-voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting and lighting control, standby generation, and fire alarm.
• Perform and review short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Lead electrical design from basis of design through construction documents, construction administration, and startup.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and controls engineers on integrated facility designs.
• Review and seal drawings and calculations as Engineer of Record.

About our client

Our client is a growing, employee-owned engineering firm expanding into the Denver market, and they are looking for a senior electrical engineer to build the new office around. The firm designs electrical, mechanical, process, and control systems for semiconductor fabs, life sciences plants, research labs, and industrial manufacturing facilities. Their electrical work runs from site-wide medium-voltage upgrades through motor controls, lighting, fire alarm, and on-site generation, along with short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies.

The role

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be the firm's first engineer in Denver, establish its electrical practice in the market, and grow into leading the office. The firm develops its leaders from within, so the person who opens the office is the one expected to run it as it grows.

The position is based in the Denver, CO area.

What you would be doing
