Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Data Engineer within the Employee Data Technology group to lead the design and delivery of scalable data collection, storage, and analytics platforms. You will guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure secure, reliable data assets across multiple pipelines.

You will apply deep Python expertise, leverage Databricks and Spark, and drive adoption of AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery while maintaining governance and security standards

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on data engineering concepts with architecture and production ownership concepts.
• Hands‑on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong Python coding skills, and deep experience with Databricks and Spark.

Responsibilities

• Provides recommendations and insight on data management and governance procedures for data acquisition, maintenance, validation, and utilization.
• Designs and delivers trusted data collection, storage, access, and analytics data platform solutions.
• Defines database back-up, recovery, and archiving strategy.
• Generates advanced data models for one or more teams using firmwide approaches and statistical methods.
• Drives team adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Applies validation, secure coding, and audit trails to data handling and automation tasks.
