Job summary

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Senior Lead Compliance Auditor to join the Office of University Compliance and Internal Audit.

You will evaluate compliance with federal research regulations and University policies, report to the Director of Compliance Audit, and lead audits with initiative, leadership, and discretion. You will mentor staff, develop audit programs, discuss findings with management, and prepare concise reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CFE, CPA preferred or required within 18 months.
• At least one year of supervisory experience and two years in technical research administration / data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits of research compliance and related programs following approved audit plans.
• Lead audit projects, mentor staff, and review working papers for quality.
• Develop audit programs and test steps based on risk, communicate findings, and track remediation.
• Discuss audit results with management and prepare clear, concise reports.
