Job summary

Balance Staffing - Stockton seeks a seasoned Lead Active Part Assembly Technician to oversee the active part assembly of liquid-filled distribution transformers, following engineering drawings and process requirements.

You will guide coil positioning, upper yoke assembly, insulation wedging, and internal lead connections, while helping ramp up operations, train staff, and maintain workmanship standards and assembly integrity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience in active part assembly or related manufacturing roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead active part assembly operations for liquid-filled distribution transformers according to drawings and work instructions.
• Position and secure coils to the transformer core, perform upper yoke assembly, and install insulation materials.
• Verify fit-up and assembly readiness, support standard work development, and drive process discipline.
• Route, secure, and connect internal coil leads with proper routing and conformance.
