KBR Careers is seeking a Senior Launch & Mission Integration Specialist in Albuquerque, NM. This role supports rocket launch programs with systems engineering and program management expertise to ensure mission success for national security projects.

The position requires DoD clearance, a relevant engineering degree, and 5+ years in space launch or related fields. Expect collaboration with government partners and cross-functional teams to deliver complex missions on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Active DoD Secret clearance required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in space launch, missile systems, space systems or systems engineering.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management and systems engineering for Rocket Systems Launch Program (RSLP) missions.
  • Assess launch schedules, budgets, risks, contracts, and milestones.
  • Coordinate with Government customers, launch providers, payload orgs, and partners.
  • Lead IPT meetings, PMRs, design/readiness reviews, TIMs, and working groups.
  • Develop executive briefings, technical presentations, and schedules with action tracking.
  • Support launch campaign planning including site readiness and operations.
  • Review engineering docs and system testing to verify requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, USSF, SSC, and national launch policies.
  • Assist in acquisition planning, contract execution, proposals, and technical assessments.

Job Description
  • Provide program management and systems engineering support for Rocket Systems Launch Program (RSLP) missions.
  • Assess launch service schedules, budgets, risks, contract requirements, and technical milestones.
  • Coordinate with Government customers, commercial launch providers, payload organizations, and mission partners.
  • Lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, Program Management Reviews (PMRs), Design Reviews, Readiness Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), and Working Groups.
  • Develop executive briefings, technical presentations, decision packages, schedules, and action‑item tracking.
  • Support launch campaign planning including site readiness, facility coordination, mission integration, and launch operations.
  • Review engineering documentation and system testing to verify mission requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, USSF, SSC, and national launch policies.
  • Support acquisition planning, contract execution, proposal evaluations, and technical assessments.
Required Skills
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Program Management, Acquisition Management, Physical Sciences, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting one or more of: Space launch, Missile systems, Space Systems, Systems Engineering, Acquisition, Mission Integration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent efforts.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
Desired Skills
  • Active DoD TS with SCI eligibility.
  • Master’s Degree in relevant field (includes MBA with relevant technical experience).
  • 10 years prior launch/missile enlisted experience may be substituted for education requirement.
  • Prior Launch, Missile or Space Operational experience.
  • Proficiency in the Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCaR), MS Project or and/or Confluence/Jira.
