Job summary

UW School of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a full-time position in Large Animal Surgery at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor level. The role encompasses clinical service, teaching, and student mentorship within a dynamic team of ACVS Diplomates and residents.

Appointment may be made in Teaching, Clinical, or Tenure track, commensurate with background and goals. UW SVM recently expanded facilities to support veterinary education and research.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree and ACVS board certification required.
• Experience in large animal surgery and teaching is essential.
• Eligible for an academic appointment at UW School of Veterinary Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Supervise student employees involved in development or delivery of instruction.
• Facilitate classroom, online and laboratory teaching, including assessment of student performance.
• Advise students on academic and career direction within large animal surgery.
• Provide clinical service within the Large Animal Surgery Section and participate in teaching of students and residents.
