McDugald Steele Landscape Architects & Contractors, a Houston-based design-build firm, seeks an experienced in-house Construction Supervisor to lead field operations for high-end residential landscapes. The role partners with landscape architects, project managers, and trades to translate design into built work and ensure safety, schedule, and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years landscape construction experience in residential/design-build environments.
• Previous supervisory/foreman role required.
• Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, planting, irrigation, and hardscape installation.
• Able to read landscape construction plans, details, and specs.
• Experience managing crews, schedules, and jobsite production.
• Strong safety standards and leadership skills.
• English and Spanish bilingual skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily field operations for residential and select commercial landscape construction projects.
• Supervise and coordinate construction crews and subcontracted trades.
• Manage jobsite scheduling, production goals, and daily work assignments.
• Read and interpret landscape construction plans, details, and specifications.
• Coordinate installation of grading, drainage, hardscape, planting, irrigation, lighting, and other landscape elements.
• Maintain craftsmanship and quality control throughout construction.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure alignment with design intent and standards.
• Coordinate equipment, deliveries, and material to maintain schedules.
• Track project progress with project managers and resolve field conflicts.
