Job summary

The Planet Group in Durham, NC is seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to lead design and project management for diverse projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will collaborate with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, develop proposals, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards. A license (RLA/PLA) and 7+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Professional license or registration (RLA/PLA).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in landscape architecture design and project management.
• Experience with various project types (parks, commercial, master planned communities).
• Experience with entitlement, site planning, budgeting, and cost estimation.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
• Knowledge of local regulations and permitting processes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to develop and implement project designs.
• Build and nurture client relationships, including networking, preparing proposals, interviewing, and negotiating fees.
• Prepare and deliver project proposals, presentations, and reports.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
• Effectively manage project budgets and timelines.
• Continuously improve project processes and techniques.
