Job summary

R.E.Y. Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Land Surveyor in California to lead the Folsom division. You will oversee complex boundary, topographic, ALTA, and land development surveys and mentor junior staff while coordinating with engineers, clients, and public agencies.

You will drive project delivery from proposal through final deliverables, help shape workflows, and contribute to the growth of the Pleasanton office while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current California PLS license is required.
• 8+ years of land surveying experience.
• Experience managing complex public works and land development projects.
• Expert knowledge of California boundary law and subdivision mapping.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and modern survey equipment.
• Ability to lead field and office survey teams.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Mentor junior staff and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage boundary, topographic, ALTA, right-of-way, construction, and land development survey projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to survey crews and office staff.
• Oversee field and office survey operations to deliver on time and within budget.
• Review and approve maps, legal descriptions, and survey records.
• Perform QA/QC reviews for survey calculations and mapping.
• Interpret deeds, title reports, easements, and subdivision maps.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, clients throughout each project.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, staffing, budgeting.
