Job summary

R.E.Y. Engineers in Folsom, CA seeks an experienced Project Surveyor to lead land surveying efforts on major infrastructure projects, including water facilities modernization.

You will guide field operations, collaborate with engineers, clients, contractors, and public agencies, and help plan, schedule, and deliver high-quality survey products. The role emphasizes leadership, client communication, multi-project coordination, and ongoing career growth within our California offices.

Qualifications

• CA LSIT or PLS preferred
• 5–10+ years progressive land surveying experience
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office
• Experience with ALTA, boundary, plats, title issues, and legal descriptions
• GIS is a plus
• Strong knowledge of field-to-finish workflows
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to mentor junior staff while working with a remote and collaborative team

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee ALTA, boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and construction surveys.
• Prepare and review legal descriptions, maps, plats, and other technical survey documents.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure compliance with California surveying standards, including title issues.
• Process and analyze survey data using industry-standard software.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, utility companies, and public agencies.
• Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to field crews and junior survey staff.
• Support proposal preparation, project estimates, and client communication.
• Contribute to workflow improvements and growth of the Pleasanton survey team.
