BKF Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Land Development Project Manager in California to lead and oversee land development initiatives from vision to reality, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will drive project leadership, client relations, and team development while expanding BKF's land development presence in the Northern California region. Travel to BKF locations and client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field required.
• California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• 10+ years of land development engineering experience including site design and project management.
• Strong technical background in land development design (site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, off-site improvements).
• Experience leading projects from concept to construction and managing client communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and project management for land development projects (site planning, grading, drainage, utilities, entitlement support).
• Coordinate agency approvals, permitting, technical studies, and consultant teams.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and client communications from concept through construction.
• Leverage internal resources and build local consultant network for scalable delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership to grow local team.
• Promote full range of services and cross-sell to land development, private, and public-sector clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with developers, municipalities, and partners to expand regional presence.
