Brigham City Community Hospital & Cache Valley Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a Hospital Laboratory Director to lead operations and ensure regulatory compliance in a busy clinical lab.

You will oversee staffing, coaching staff, and drive strategies to meet service, quality, and financial goals, while maintaining open communication with teams and stakeholders. Hospital lab experience and a strong leadership record are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology or Chemistry required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• National Certification as Medical Technologist required.
• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory/management role in a clinical laboratory setting - required.
• Hospital clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 per local/state/federal requirements (unless exempt).

Responsabilités

• Directs operations, programs and activities to meet organizational and regulatory requirements and to drive innovation.
• Ensures adequate and qualified staffing for the department through hiring, orientation, competency, training, and performance management.
• Develops and recognizes staff through coaching and regular feedback.
• Sets and executes department strategies to meet goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial, patient satisfaction and personnel management.
• Oversees the financial operation for the laboratory by monitoring resource use and preparing Monthly Operating Review reports.
• Ensures compliance with CAP, JCAHO, CLIA, FDA and CMS standards.
• Manages vendor relationships and supply contracts.
• Develops communication plans to keep staff informed and foster open feedback.
• Directs and organizes operations with appropriate delegation per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitors staff activities and provides coaching, training and retraining as necessary.
