Job summary

Viltis is seeking a Senior Lab Technician in Santa Rosa, CA to support an analytical toxicology laboratory. You will review data, process instrument results, and maintain SOP-based documentation in a regulated setting.

The role requires a bachelor’s in chemistry or analytical chemistry and at least 1 year in an analytical lab, with readiness for a 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Experience with GC/MS or LC/MS/MS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
• At least 1 year of experience working in an analytical laboratory.
• Ability to work the 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) in Santa Rosa, CA.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow established procedures and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and consistently follow written SOPs.
• Identify analyzed samples and verify batch sequences.
• Process instrument data and generate analytical reports.
• Perform first review of GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS data per SOPs.
• Transcribe or upload results into LIS for final review and certification.
• Maintain Chain of Custody and batch documentation.
• Communicate with supervisors and escalate issues promptly.
• Follow safety procedures for handling specimens, chemicals, and equipment.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
