Job summary

Veriipro is looking for a Senior Kafka/Confluent Administrator to enhance our on-prem event streaming platform, focusing on the Confluent Platform. Your role involves leading hardware refresh planning and execution, driving reliability and performance, and embedding DevOps across various processes.

This role requires 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and a deep understanding of Kafka internals. You will manage Kafka clusters while ensuring comprehensive documentation and operational standards.

Ideal candidates will possess strong Linux fundamentals and experience with AWS MSK for cross-environment reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems/platform engineering, SRE, or DevOps.
• 4+ years operating Kafka in production at scale.
• Deep knowledge of Kafka internals: partitions, replication, retention/compaction.
• Proficiency in automation/scripting.
• Experience with incident management and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate highly available Kafka clusters.
• Manage topics, partitions, quotas, and consumer group strategies.
• Own upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Implement and manage Kafka components and performance tuning.
• Create operational documentation and knowledge transfer sessions.
