Job summary

Vanir Construction Management, Inc. is seeking a Project Director for Justice & Essential Services to lead large-scale, complex justice projects in the Pacific Northwest.

The role requires delivering courthouses, detention, and related facilities, managing client relationships, project teams, and budgets, and contributing to business development. Based in Seattle/Tacoma, you will report to the Area Manager, coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors, ensure safety and compliance, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of project or program management experience on large justice/detention/essential services projects.
• Strong leadership and communication; ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with Design-Build or Progressive Design-Build preferred.
• Knowledge of project controls, scheduling, cost management, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients to establish program goals and strategies.
• Lead planning, coordination, and execution per client policies and facility requirements.
• Develop implementation plans and master schedules reflecting client priorities.
• Provide leadership in estimating, scheduling, cost management, and design coordination.
• Manage program controls, budgets, resource utilization, and timely deliverables.
• Maintain project documentation and provide management reporting.
• Collaborate with client leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
